Women in sailing and their growing participation
Today is International Women’s Day. To mark the occasion, we want to recognise the growing participation of women in sailing. In the past, they had to struggle with numerous obstacles, were not allowed to take part in regattas and were reduced to passive roles. YACHT takes a look back, looks at developments up to the present day and introduces outstanding female sailors.
