Meet other seasoned skippers and get to know their boats too. We start with a skipper meeting at 6pm. at the flag post then head out on the water. Weather permitting.
What to Expect on an Evening Sail
1. 6 PM Meeting at the Flag Pole:
– Arrive promptly at the flag pole for the skippers meeting.
– This is where skippers will discuss plans for the evening, including any safety information, sailing routes, and conditions.
2. Skippers Meeting:
– Attend to hear about any important instructions and updates regarding the evening’s sail.
– During this meeting, the skippers will assign first mates and crew members to each boat.
3. Crew Assignments:
– Find out your assigned role and responsibilities for the sail.
– Pay attention to any specific instructions from your skipper regarding tasks and safety on the boat.
4. Preparation:
– Gather your personal gear and make sure you are ready for the sail.
– Essential items include a life jacket, appropriate clothing for the evening conditions, such as layers and windbreaker, and safety gear like a flashlight or headlamp.
5. Evening Sail:
– Set sail after the meeting concludes. The duration depends on the skipper’s and crew’s preferences and the weather conditions.
